Complaints management

If you have a complaint, you can contact our internal complaints management team at any time. You can send us your complaint per post or by e-mail (beschwerdemanagement@brezel.de).
We will confirm receipt of your complaint in a timely manner, review your complaint and inform you of the complaint handling procedure. If an immediate response is not possible, we will inform you of the reasons for the delay and when the investigation is expected to be completed.

Other complaint options, dispute resolution

If you, as a customer, feel that you have received incorrect advice from an insurance agent, you can lodge a complaint to the relevant authorities about the insurance agent or the insurance company.
You can contact the relevant Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) for this. The IHK Munich and Upper Bavaria (Industrie- und Handelskammer (IHK) München und Oberbayern) is responsible for us.
You can also contact the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht – BaFin) with complaints about insurance brokers.
Irrespective of a complaint to the IHK or BaFin, as a consumer you can also lodge a complaint about insurance brokers or insurers at the insurance ombudsman.
For consumers, the EU platform for out-of-court online dispute resolution is also available. However, we are neither obliged nor willing to participate in a dispute resolution procedure before a consumer arbitration board.
